OUTPOST U is a classroom at Light Iron where DITs, cinematographers, producers, post supervisors, VFX producers, video engineers and other members of production can learn how to incorporate the newest file-based technologies into their projects. In an effort to help establish a set of best practices and to provide clarification relating to file-based capture, Light Iron has launched the first file-based teaching series designed for the professional community.

- Intro. to newest technologies available in the marketplace (e.g., iPads, transcoding tools, data transfer protocols, new software)

Park in the parking structure on De Longpre Ave. Light Iron provides validation.
Do I need to bring anything?
Some people bring notepads but nothing is required to take the class. Snacks and drinks are provided.
