OUTPOSTTM MOBILE SYSTEMS

OUTPOST Mobile SystemsTM, full-service on-site data laboratories made mobile as compact wheeled carts placed on-set or in a near-set office is designed for the most efficient turn-around of file-based dailies. Available in 2D and 3D configurations, OUTPOST enables all departments to have same-day accessibility to dailies hours after they were shot.

DIGITAL INTERMEDIATE

At Light Iron, the Digital Intermediate (DI) process is among the most advanced in Los Angeles. Coupling progressive talent with custom toolsets makes for smooth DIs and precise color correction, even when the edit list may be complex and ever-changing.  Whether 2K or 4K, stereoscopic or mixed formats, our artists provide real-time color correction, restoration, in-suite visual effects, beauty, titling and change list editorial.
 

DIGITAL CINEMA SERVICES

Digital delivery has never been easier.  From in-house DCP encoding and color space conversions to final archive elements, Light Iron delivers file-based services enabling all of the digital deliverables to be managed from one facility.

DATA LAB

The Data Lab handles all formats of file and tape acquisition, processing to editorial and digital dailies formats as well as offering clients custom datacine 1-light processing and acting as the hub for our native file and tape-based conforms from a variety of formats.  

3D STEREOSCOPIC

From workflow design to on-set dailies processing to preview assembly and screenings to final 3D color and convergence, Light Iron offers a full range of services to support to 3D productions.  Tools like the Quantel Pablo and DVS Clipster allows our artists to make stereo corrections to color, geometry and depth in real-time with instant results for review.

LiVE PLAY

Light Iron OUTPOST can also be paired with our LiVE PLAY systems.  LiVE PLAY is an automated & wireless playback system that allows for on-set review of takes seconds after the camera stops recording. The Director and other key production members can collectively provide feedback on a given take by inputting data directly on their LiVE PLAY-equipped iPads. This data is transferred to a database, which can either be exported or uploaded to third-party collaborative portals such as PIX Systems.
